I got pulled over last night at 12:30am for running a red light (which I didn't do). The cops said they had watched me drive around the neighborhood a few times (apparently that is illegal?). I was looking for duplexes for rent, because I had nothing better to do. I was kinda pissed when they had me get out of the car and then patted me down for weapons. Most ridiculous part was when one of the cops kept arguing with me that I should have left cody's JOCO plate on the car instead of the MO temp tag I had. I wanted so bad to say "I wanted it to be legal this way, you should know that dumbass!", but I didn't because I knew better. After all that crap, they let me go. Which they should have because I never ran a red light in the first place.

This week is a bit better so far...

So all the stuff that went wrong last week is being fixed now. Thats kinda how last week went.

The week started off decent. I had gone out with a group of people from KCSR the previous Friday night to Applebee's and I had a pretty good time. When I got to work on Monday, I had a Private Message from one of the girls that had gone out with us, Nikki. I always had thought she was a cool girl, and this was backed up by meeting her at Applebee's. So, I sent her a PM back and we started talking on AIM and having good conversation. After a while, we decided to go on a date on Tuesday. That was the beginning of the great part of the week.

I think it was on Wednesday evening that I got a call from my roommate telling me that I had to get rid of my puppy that I had gotten only 5 weeks ago. From the best that I can ascertain, it had to do with his sister complaining (did I mention she was in town? She lives at our house during the summer and on school breaks), and his dad suddenly deciding that my dog would be too big for the house (or that I shouldn't have a pet at all... I'm not too clear on that). This was the beginning of the horrible part of the week.

Going back to the great part of the week, Nikki and I had such a great time on the first date, we decide to go out again on Friday. She insisted on paying for dinner, but I managed to sneak in and pay for our movie tickets. Its cool that she wants to pay for stuff, but I like to spend money on a girl I like. Anyways, she ends up staying the night and we spend all day Saturday together. We went to First Watch for breakfast, then went to Zona Rosa so she could go shopping (I did pick up a couple of books though - Catcher in the Rye, which is my favorite book, and The Playboy Guide to Bartending). By now we're officialy dating, but later that evening there was more bad parts of the week.

We were sitting on the couch, watching cartoons and getting ready to go to dinner when I get a phone call from PRIVATE on my cell phone. Its some guy Chris (who turns out to be her ex-boyfriend) claiming to be her boyfriend and giving me a sob story about how he just found out and he's trying to deal with it. Obviously, this hits me like a hammer. I ask her about it, because I don't want to judge a situation without hearing both sides. She tells me that its her ex-boyfriend and that it was the guy she was telling me about with her whole situation prior to this. She says she doesn't know why he still thinks he's her boyfriend. I believe her, because she hasn't given me a reason not to. Plus I like her a lot.

All the while this stuff is going on, my car I bought 3 weeks ago is broken down (apparently needs a water pump) and I'm told my dog has to be gone by tomorrow (which is today). More bad news. The whole dog situation has been elevated by my roommate's sister accusing my dog of hurting the cat and thats why she is not doing anything blah, blah, blah. Thats utter and complete bullshit, though. My puppy was outside all day and the cat was fine when I had seen her earlier that day. So this is why it looks like I'm moving again. I can't deal with this stupid shit anymore. How hard is it to have a drama-free life? Apparently it's almost impossible.

After all that, Nikki and I go to dinner. We went to Jess and Jim's Steakhouse in Martin City. It was good and we had a good time, which helped my mood a lot. After we finish, we go to see a friend of mine in from Omaha. Matt used to live here and I've known him forever, so it was good to see him. We stayed there a while and then went back to my house. After everything that had happened, we just wanted to relax so we laid down, watched some tv and fell asleep. Honestly, that was probably the best way to end this hectic week.

All in all, this had to be one of the craziest weeks I've ever had. But with all the shit that happened, I still started a relationship with a girl I like a lot and seem to care for. Hopefully, this will continue and maybe I'll get to be happy for a while.

So it's 4 am...

and I just finished cleaning up the giant ass tree branch that hit my truck about an hour ago. Fortunately it only landed in my bed mostly and didn't damage anything. I'm still pissed, though. It took up an hour of my potential sleep and I had just finished icing down my hand so the swelling will go down from my hand surgery. It was supposed to be done healing by tomorrow, but at this rate it'll be at least Friday. Damn it. Hopefully the rest of 2005 will go better than this.

Well, my vicodin is kicking in. Its been doing this since 8:30 am and it is now 2:30 pm. It makes it really hard for us to do business with a constant HONK HONK HONK. We even called over to the office of the guy who owns it and asked him to rectify it. He didn't.

I'm so frustrated I want to just call the cops and tell them it was abandoned because the guy hasn't been out to see why his horn is going off.
